Operation Dinghy was originally initiated in Dyfed Powys in response to an increase in class ‘A’ drugs in the Pembrokeshire area.  Dyfed Powys led the operation working with the Regional Task Force that provided targeted surveillance that resulted in the discovery of an elaborate network of rural locations that were being used to hide and store controlled drugs.

Over 30 warrants were executed and over 20 arrests were made and during the arrests 140gms of Cocaine, 2.525 kg of Amphetamine Sulphate, 1,500 Ecstasy tablets and 42 Cannabis Plants were seized as well as assets worth £50,000.  The operation resulted in the dismantling of two organised crime groups.
